Race Report

It’s heating up on the hill oh, how this competition has transformed with so many surprises and such a tight margin separating 1st 2nd and 3rd, we will just have to wait and see who can stick it out for the final runs.

This is a unique competition as many of our Ferals head off to City to Surf in Sydney meaning they miss out on the crucial second last run of the competition so those close margins could disappear in a blink of a jogger, but who will it favour?

What a super star Nicole Restagno is, coming in at first this week and running over a minute faster than her best time for the 7.7kmof this competition.

Second place was Gary Workman who also pushed the pain barrier to run faster this week followed by the leader of the competition Glenys Greenaway who again put in a consistent effort.

The rest of the top ten comprised of Simon Croce, Peter Stinson, Lena Sergi, Vince Restagno, Anthony Trefilo, Tracey Josling and Margaret O’Grady.

The short course was fast paced this week with lots of junior joggers not shy to overtake their elders while making it look too easy.

First one across the finishing mat was Jack Marcus, congratulations, 2nd place was Sarah Gibbs and running a stunning best time was Leanne Austin at 3rd.

Daisy Croce, Jessica Alpen, Suzanne Rinaldo, Andrew Bastianon, William Kennedy, Harrison Bastianon and Abbey Josling made up the remainder of the top ten for the short course.

Vince Restagno ran like lightning and finished in 31.35 and in the short course Liam Burgess ran the track in 13.07.

Good luck to all the hard working Feral Joggers who will embark on the journey to Sydney for the 14km City to Surf, have fun and look after yourselves.
