Welcome to the Griffith Feral Tri 'ards

This is the official web page for the Griffith Feral Tri 'ards - a single place where you can find all you need to know about running and triathlon in Griffith NSW.

This Week:

What a great Lakes View Classic (if you like long flat straight running). That lazy wind made the going tough for the first half, but once we turned the corner (and for those of use still out there, once the sun went down) the wind was no longer an issue. We had a bigger field than last year to do the 5km and 12 km options.  Devansh and Sarah took out the short course and Adam and Nicole did the honours in the long course. Trophies will be awarded at the Jogger's Dinner in November.

And congratulations to Ed on becoming our latest Golden Jogger. May you bask in the glory forever.

Race report for the final Surfer Competition run (as not printed by the Area News)

Next week returns to the hill with the Arsova course. This is the last course for the running year. Put the Joggers Dinner in your diary now - you know that it is the most important event of the year, so don't miss it.

We don't usually do Lost Clothing announcements BUT there is a small juniors feral t-shirt (complete with snot stains) in the boot of my car. I assume that the child would like the t-shirt back, so please contact me and I will get it to you. (The child may be loveable, but the sweat and snot stains are not - the shirt will be returned in the condition in which it was found).

UPDATE! Neil thought that my little lost property message above was a bit cruel, so I washed the item! It is still looking for its owner, though. I will have it in my car for the next few weeks. If it is not claimed, we could see it made into a trophy, so get in and get it back!

Update! Update! This t-shirt is still in the back of my car. Surely there is a little feral out there who is missing their hard earned 2008 t shirt?? Please collect it.

City to Surf photos. And a little movie of a very happy Lena. (It's a 1 Mb download). And a report from Andrew about the new Wagga Trail Marathon.

The 2008 Form Guide is out now. How well will you do in picking the order our bus travelling ferals will finish in the City to Surf?

If you did the city to surf you need to tell Neil so that he can add your kilometres to the Wardle Waddle. Tell him your time and place as well so it can we can brag about you in coming days.

Virtual Triathlon has started. You can view progress from next week when the tallies start coming in

Take a look at the Fundraising efforts of some of our Ferals. Matt is running for Oxfam and Janelle and Tony are looking for support for the Children's Hospital in Westmead.

Rule Number 14 (from the Pine Belt Runners):

When standing in starting lines, remind yourself how fortunate you are to be there.

Please!  Make sure you arrive early enough and get your name ticked off for the correct run.  With 100 or so people waiting to get started it is all a lot easier if you are co-operative.  If you change your mind about which course you run, tell the handicapper.  You wouldn't want a search party out looking for you if you are already back at the water tower, would you?

2008 Joggers Program, in case you missed it in the mail.

GriffithGateway.com supports this site.  Take a fresh look at what our city has to offer, and spread the word.

A 1996 photo of two more ex ferals - Anita Smith and Nick Haggerty

Anyone else remember the Griffith to Wagga Relay in 1991? This is Johanna handing the baton to Paul

Possibly a Hill Run, or is it a Bacchus?  Ari van de Lelij and Wal Barber.

Perhaps someone can date the photo from the t-shirts?

A photo with no name, no label, no anything.  What do you know??
