Coming Up

Dear Feral Members,

Your committee met on Monday evening and considered when we can return to club running and discussed details of the Joggers Dinner / Presentation evening.

Our plan following the Governments Roadmap to Reopening NSW is that races 8 and 9 of  the current Arsova competition will be virtual, and that the Shanks Pony Cup to be run on the 30th of October will be our first post-lockdown club event. According to the Governments Reopening Plan community sport will be permitted once 80% of the state (aged 16 and over) is double vaccinated. It is anticipated this benchmark will be reached on the 25th of October.

We also plan to have a BBQ & drinks after the Shanks Pony Cup.

The Jogger’s Dinner / Presentation remains on track for the 12th of November at Pioneer Park.

The Roadmap for Reopening NSW once 80% double dose vaccination is achieved requires people to be double vaccinated to participate community sports and attend events. https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/easing-covid-19-restrictions/80-percent

The Ferals must comply with the NSW Governments directives, but we also respect the rights of individuals to choose if they get vaccinated and people’s right to privacy.

The club is required to seek proof of double vaccination from everyone attending any of our weekly runs and events such as Joggers Dinner / Presentation (aged 16 and over) and the after-run BBQ & drinks.  This includes, volunteers, spectators and household members accompanying a child under 16. As such, when entering the area where these events are being staged you will be asked to check-in via the Service NSW App and to provide proof of double vaccination. https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/vaccination/proof

For anyone who is not double vaccinated or chooses not to provide proof of vaccination we look forward to having you return to our weekly runs and events when the state fully reopens, predicted to be the 1st of December.

Kindest regards in difficult times

Ron
Feral Club President
